Hello, and thanks for stopping by!

Hello! I’m Danielle, and I’m a licensed Registered Nurse, a Board Certified Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

As both a psychotherapist and a nurse, my goal is to empower clients to reclaim their health and lives, no matter what challenges or experiences have led them to seek therapy. With over 10 + years of experience spanning community mental health, emergency crisis response, private practice, and medical healthcare settings, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families from various diverse backgrounds.

Here’s what you can expect from our psychotherapy sessions:

I practice an integrative, holistic approach, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each client’s needs. My current practice focuses on individuals, couples, and families, drawing from psychodynamic, solution-focused, and cognitive-behavioral models. I’m trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with complementary therapies such as mindfulness, meditation, self-advocacy, and harm reduction. My education specializes in addiction treatment, cognitive science, and psychiatric nursing.

As a proud mental health advocate, I meet my client’s where they are at. I approach my work with compassion, empathy, and respect for your unique experiences. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to share their stories, explore emotions, and together we develop a personal therapeutic treatment plan that addresses the bio-psycho spiritual model of recovery.

Fun facts about me: I’m a proud Chicago native, a self-proclaimed book nerd, and I have a love for gardening and spending time with my plants and four-legged companions. Nature, especially near water, is where I feel most connected to myself. I believe live music is deeply healing.

Education: I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Illinois Chicago, specializing as a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School, with a concentration in the treatment of addiction disorders. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois Chicago and an Associate of Science in Nursing from South Suburban College, where I completed clinical training within the University of Chicago and OSF healthcare systems. I began my academic career at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus on clinical psychology and neuroscience, along with a minor in history.
